Gods Mercy and Justice impacting Kiev

Peter Warren opened the day with an introduction of today's Theme: God's character and His ways with Mercy and Justice. "His Justice and Mercy will always be full attributes of God. He doesn't exercise the one without the other.”

We started with a bible study among the 4 different locations on mercy and justice in the bible. All the location had a general piece and each location had a specific bible study we were to meditate, pray over and discuss.  God really spoke to us in a prophetic way.

Here in Kiev, we mediated on Jeremiah 18- about the Potter and the Clay.  When a Potter makes a pot and it turns out badly, he use the same clay and make another pot. One girl in our group meditate over us that God want us to change and transform us, but if we are the same clay, how do we transform?  We must be open for Him to transform us. Otherwise He will make the same pot he made before.  A guy from our group had the word for us as well. If we are unwilling to change, our clay will be hardened and we can't be reshaped.  If we think we have everything figured and we are not open for change, we will be un-shapable if we fall.

We listened to Joy Dawson’s video message from 16 years ago about Gods Mercy and Justice.
Peter Warren explained to us that Joy had a message for us on her heart, but due to her physical conduction, she was unable to deliver the message to us. The leaders prayed over this and felt that this was the message that we needed to hear today.  It was a strong message and what stood out to Michael Berg is that although you are in Ministry for a long time, you don't have to know Him personally.  We have to take more time to really read the bible to get to know Gods character.

During Joys message Arie Gort painted a beautiful pictures of what the Lord gave her.
Arie:
"As I was praying beforehand, I got two images.  The first image was of a tear drop falling into water, representing the compassion of God.  The second image was of a willow tree, representing both the peace and mercy of God as well as the justice of God.  As I painted, I used these images, along with flames, which represented the refining fire of God purifying each of our hearts.  I decided to use the yellow in the background to symbolize the pure gold that comes out after God has purified us with fire."

In the afternoon we had 10 different workshop on our campus, where for 2 hours smalls groups learned more about various topics. It was a great time to learn more about Gods character, our personal ministry and relevant topics in the field.

After the sun broke through he workshops we had an hour sport and other activity. We had several volleyball teams teaming up to each other- as well as some “basket-ballers.” There was also an “Esther Tent” where women could go to pamper each other for the King with pedicure, facials and nail polish.

The evening began with a powerful worship time. Several artists painted amazing pieces as they worshipped through their craft and dancers joined in with flags as well.
Steve Goode, International Director of Mercy Ministries, talked about ministering to the poor and the affects of human trafficking on the modern world. He shared with us some powerful statistics.  Twenty seven million people are enslaved or trafficked today. Of those, 80% are women and 50% are children.  He encouraged us to check out www.notforsalecampaign.org and shared with us about a woman- Buddhist artist in Thailand- who has almost single-handedly rescued nearly 50 children from prostitution in her city. “Trafficking is not a ‘Christian’ issue. It is a moral issue,” Steve reminded us. As we concluded, he encouraged us to make a commitment to ask God for one or two specific things we can do to help eradicate human trafficking in our world.  Our audio file is uploaded onto this website as well.
