Biblical World View

Lausanne
Today began with a reminder of the war we are in. As Kiev had difficulties with their connection, we were brought to pray corporately into what the Lord had for us today and chose to fight against anything that would stand in our way! We won. And it was worth it!
Appropriately enough Danny Lehmann spoke about how we are soldiers enlisted, athletes in training and farmers working the ground (based out of 2 Timothy 2:1-7). His challenge was that “when a sword is in the fire long enough, it takes on the nature of the fire, while staying a sword.” Because even though this knowledge is vital to focus on and believe, we are called to have a Biblical World View in order to change what we LOVE. He shared much more of course (and I encourage you to listen to the audio that is on the site) but it set a beautiful groundwork for Darlene Cunningham.
Darleen was honored in Cairo this morning with a warm welcome as she led us into a monumental time of covenant. It was “corporately marking a time of being called for full-time service to God”, something that is on each one of our hearts individually. A signature on a piece of paper was no simple thing today. Those willing to sign with ink said that we are willing to serve God “whole-heartedly”. Please check out the link to see a copy of this “Jubilee Covenant” and consider signing one yourself… for the glory of a deserving God.
Sessions again were impacting and dynamic (please see list below) this afternoon. And this evening was nothing short of the same. I want to thank John Lambert for his appropriate introduction of Loren Cunningham tonight. He set the stage for a man who undeniably has given his “ALL”. Watching a man on stage share story after story of how he knows our God (the God of the Bible) to be “the only god that is finite and personal”, you know he is walking what he is teaching. It is clear that Loren Cunningham has not only encountered Christ, knows His character and communes with Him intimately, but he also serves him with ALL of himself. We are honored to have such a tangible example of what the covenant we signed today looks like in real life and the results of having a Biblical Christian World View.
Mr. Cunningham, tonight I thank you for all of your investments into your personal relationship with the Lord. For, as John said earlier, “we are inheriting from your obedience, leadership and sacrifice”. Lausanne is honored by your presence, YWAM is humbled by your devotion, and the saints cheer you on as the soldier, athlete, and farmer that you are! You challenged, inspired and encouraged us all by burning hope within us for greater things in the days to come. May the Lord bless you in return as your give so much to be where He has called you to be (number four of the covenant). To God be the glory! And in “Such a Time as This”, He is truly glorified in Loren, this place, and all that He has done this historic day of 09.09.09. Amen.
