A new sunny glorious day in Kiev

Get ready!

Praise the Lord for the sun today!  The third day of the Workshop started of with an interview with two international leaders: Tom Hallas and Lynn Green. Tom Hallas is the Field Director of YWAM Pacific and Asia.  Lynn Green is the international chairman of YWAM.  Both leaders were involved in the Global Leadership Team, which met in Switzerland last week.  Gods message for YWAM as a ministry was for us to get ready.  We must get ready on three levels:  as individuals, as communities, and as communities coming together.  We have to become dangerous!  Dangerous for satan.  The leaders finished the interview with funny anecdotes of community living within YWAM.  It was a good time.

During the second half of the morning we had Danny Lehman teach on GENESIS, and we were privileged to have him speak here on the Kiev site.  Danny was sharing from II Tim. 2 and asked us three questions:  "Where are you fighting for?"
"Where are you training for?"  "Where are you working for?"  The audio from this session is available on the website.

Just before lunch, Darlene spoke to us from Cairo about the YWAM Jubilee Covenant. We took some time to come together in worship and sign this covenant - even going into our lunch time.

This afternoon we had 11 workshops again in several places around the property.
It was again a great time of going in depth in different topics.

We began this evening with 45 minutes of worship, and again people had the opportunity to sign the Jubilee covenant.

Lynn Green spoke in the evening session about the future of YWAM and listening to the voice of God.  He began with a discussion on how we can know we are hearing from the Lord and reminded us that an environment of love and unity is necessary for us to hear clearly from God.  He then shared some YWAM history with us, including some words from the Lord the Global Leadership Team has gotten over the past few years.  He also shared with us the most recent word our mission has received, regarding the structure of YWAM and our need to re-structure according to relationships rather than location.

It's great to get this update. Wow.. if only we could get more downloaded material now! It would be so great to see the Jubilee Covenant you are talking about. Thanks so much for the updates from Kiev! (From YWAM/UofN San Jose)
