Alejandro

This morning we were blessed to hear interviews from Alejandro Rodriquez, Danny Lehman, and Steve Goode.  Alejandro talked about the challenge of raising support, specifically for YWAMers coming from non-western nations.  He challenged all of us to walk in sensitivity, generosity, and equality; and challenged those from non-western nations to, as an act of "coming in the opposite spirit" to bless those from western nations with an offering.  Danny Lehman and Steve Goode discussed the importance of both evangelism and mercy ministries and reminded us that we cannot separate the "trinity" of training, evangelism, and mercy ministries in our mission.

Also this morning, David Hamilton shared with us about the calling (training, evangelism, and mercy ministries) and goals (every individual redeemed and every society transformed) of YWAM.  He said our vision has been too small.  Since 80% of those who come to know the Lord come to Him under the age of 18 and most people need to hear the Gospel three times before being ready to accept it, we need to share the Gospel in every Omega Zone at least once every six years.  He reminded us of Micah 6:8 "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before God."  In conclusion he reminded us of our love relationship with God, "Our highest calling is to love God and to do everything possible to make His dreams come true."

This afternoon we had around 7 seminars again and on this website you can find a MP3 of one of our seminars recorded Tom Hallas, who spoke about the "Why leaders fail".

In the evening we began with a local band from the Vineyard church and some performances from a local dance and drama troupe.  The dance and drama troupe had a  heart to reach the youth of their nation and they graciously shared one dance and two dramas with us this evening.

Tonight Alejandro Rodriquez taught about authority.  He pointed out that, in the natural mind, 90% of our thoughts about authority are negative.  We tend to only like authority when we are the ones in charge.  However, God did not intend this.  All authority should come from God and He wants us to reconcile our perception of authority with His plan for it in our lives.

In the evening we are showing a video called JESUSFREAKS.
JESUSFREAKS is an observational, character-driven documentary based on a young, dynamic, visionary leader, John Murphy and his school of 45 snowboarders (ages 17-25) as he guides them through a maze of spiritual transformation in the wake of tragedy. With little in common but God and snowboarding, these young boarders wrestle with authority, substance abuse, religion, dysfunctional relationships, death and more. Guided by peer leadership, spirituality, and deep faith, they set out on a journey that will ruin them for the ordinary. JESUSFREAKS is filmed at the YWAM Denver base in Colorado.

I was brought to tears after hearing your heart. I am working on gathering info for a story I am doing. My desire is to tell the story in a documentary of those "rescued". "Creativity the fabric of the woman's soul"
